Program Overview

Our program addresses the needs of individuals who suffer from an alcohol, drug or tobacco problem.  Often individuals with a substance abuse problem have difficulties in one or several life areas. Each person's treatment needs are different.  Each individual is assessed to determine treatment needs by a licensed staff member.  Family, group, and individual counseling and referral are the means to meet treatment needs.

Program Details

A complete and thorough assessment provides an understanding of the types of services a customer may require to begin a lifestyle of recovery.  Some customers may be referred for detox (placement for 3-7 days) or inpatient treatment (placement for 30 days or more) before completing outpatient treatment at Fairfield Behavioral Health Services. The primary counselor is there to explain the benefits of higher levels of care and help an individual custom a treatment episode that will be beneficial.

Often customers begin their outpatient counseling in the STAR (Starting to Address Recovery) group.  This group addresses the unique relationship issues that substance abusers encounter, provides a positive support system, and a safe place to develop a relapse prevention plan and gain new coping skills to deal with life's ups and downs instead of using drugs and alcohol to deal with life's problems.

Fairfield Behavioral Health Services provides onsite urine drug screening with immediate results and is able to retrieve comprehensive laboratory testing. If you have questions about testing, please contact us at 635-2335.

Fairfield Behavioral Health Services also provides Employee Assistance services to businesses in Fairfield County.
